I was listening to your podcast today, and there were a couple of things I wanted to comment on. The first is about the Arancuola(sp?) Ranco yarn. I made a sweater for my mom out of it, and it knitted up BEAUTIFULLY. http://milmom.wordpress.com/2008/01/23/currently-working-on/the-sweater-i-made-for-my-mom/
As you said, it is located near (or with) the sock yarn, but I don't know if I would use it to make socks either for this reason: washing instructions are hand wash or dry clean. I don't know about you, but when I make socks, I want them to be machine washable. I do not want to hand wash them, and I DEFINITELY will not dry clean them!
Secondly, you talked about making something out of a tweed yarn. I made a sweater for my future daughter-in-law out of a beautiful green tweed. I made the very last sweater out of the Harry Potter knits book (with the buttons at the shoulders), and I can't remember the name of the yarn, but it came out very nice. She seemed to like it and wore it several days during the Christmas holidays (of course, she could have been just being nice. I know I took pictures of it, but I can't find them anywhere on my computer. Anyway, just wanted to let you know.
